Our Story

For many FH members, they’ve been around a decade and have been on the journey with us. Now, for the many new faces, we wanted to share Scott’s story.

Scott Fox Director of FH Adelaide, has over 15 years’ experience in the Fitness industry, Scott is one of the most passionate and qualified Trainers in Adelaide.

Scott’s clientele is large and varied. From people looking to lose weight, get back in shape, and improve fitness, to working with people needing to achieve major fitness goals to apply for intense Fire and Army services or compete in their sports at an elite level.

With an Army and Navy background, Scott has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to training for specific goals and events. He has numerous Spartan and True Grit Obstacle racing medals under his belt, including 24hr races, as well as his specialized training knowledge from earlier career paths. This is evident with the improvement of his Athletes performances in Rowing, Tennis, obstacle races and many more.

Scott runs the Group Fitness classes at Fitness habitat with a mix of HIIT, Functional and Boxing, always bringing fresh new formats to the classes, leading to his successful loyal following of FH members, some for over a decade now.

As well as Personal Training, Scott also offers customized programs for people to use when they come to the gym. This helps people achieve their goals that may not have the budget for a personal trainer regularly. With this you’ll have a set plan for the next 6 weeks for what you need to do when you come into the Gym.

As if he wasn’t busy enough and helping enough people, Scott also spends part of his week educating and certifying Personal Trainers through Fit College Adelaide. His education also extends to being the Solo educator and certifier for all MetaFit programs across Adelaide.

Early 2019, saw Scott Close he’s successful Group Fitness facility to make room for the expansion of FH. Sadly, Due to COVID-19, he had to hit a pause button on finding a new space, taking to training at local parks to keep his regular members training, whilst developing online programs to support his clients and anyone wanting to join. After a longer than expected break, Scott is thrilled to have now found the right space and opened the New and Improved FITNESS HABITAT GYM. As well as keeping his original well-loved classes, and personal training services, he has added a new style of class and a gym membership is included for all group fitness members.

Scott’s passion for the industry is unquestionable, and so evident through the carefully selected pieces in the Gym, the unique spaces he creates, and the well thought out ever evolving Business that is FITNESS HABITAT.

On a personal note, Scott is a new dad and you will have to endure conversations about baby Jai, and the event of the week with Jai’s cheeky new ways.
